Andrea Ciapetti, professional photographer, was born in Pelago (FI) in 1957.
He has a great passion for his job and his perseverance and enthusiasm over the years, as well as work, have brought him rich, professional and personal satisfaction.

Qualified as mechanical engineer, he starts working at Nuovo Pignone S.P.A. in 1976. He is employed in the metallurgical laboratory where he rediscovers his passion for photography taking still life photos of mechanical parts and shots using an electronic microscope.
He attends a photographic course held by the architect Aldo Bacherini, professor in photography at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence, and becomes his collaborator.
In the meantime the first acknowledgements of his talent start to arrive. His shots are used for the front pages of specialized magazines.
He wins several prizes for photography. Polaroid uses his pictures in an issue dedicated to Arch. Monde, and in 1985 he becomes the official photographer for the advertising department of Nuovo Pignone – Eni Group.

He becomes freelance in 1999. He designs advertising campaigns for public bodies and large firms. He offers services to private clients and makes company calendars. He loves photography in all its different aspects, and enjoys and makes the best of all the various opportunities it offers.

In 2018 Andrea is the first Italian photographer specializing in industrial photography who had the honour to receive the prestigious award of Master Qualified European Photographer (MASTER QEP).
